We don’t know why we do, we are pushed by a strong collected force to do. Even we continue doing, we also don’t know why we don’t know. Losing in the process, and gaining in the process. Empty is Full, Full is Empty. As how many sickroom accomodates as how many we will lose; As how many we lose as how many we will gain. Empty and full are two moments, which look like extremely different, but the same subject actually. Only the process between the two moments can prove something has been here.

“Lost”is the original concept for the production, we look for deeper motivation during each other’s discussion and exploration, and then develop step by step, and cut redundance to keep some body language which is real and abstract. We follow “Lost”, and the we find two branches in the end: Losing and Coexisting. During the 30 minutes performance, we will spread out step by step.

The name of “Sickroom # Ji” description: “Ji” is from a Chinese ancient sentence, which means a status to move, “will move not not”, and “Difficult to judget if move or not”. The ancients research the “Ji” philosophy to understand the essence of subject. I use “Ji” as the name to request myself: Go to find the essence under the surface, which is a kind of self encouragement.

Introduction:
One day, a friend asked me the reason of doing this title. So, I had to go back the beginning when I have a strong emotion to do this. When I heard this news, it’s the time the official trying to catch the killer which was called the devil, the monster. At the beginning, I thought it should be a common case because of revenging or something like that. But later, I got a new that the government used 200,000 polices for catching him and gave 250,000 RMB as a reward of arresting him. It make me image that the killer must be a master of Kungfu or a boss of sinister gang but actually he is a student, which was looked from the picture is only a child. I also heard a news about he went away from his home once only for looking the sea. the feeling which this tiny thing gave me led me go and I began to pay more attention about him and his event. Later, I looked through lots of reports and news of him and also got some informations of his real life. I gradually found some similarity between me and him in the characters and finally I felt very sorrow about his life. The experience which hurt him, the struggling, and the contradiction, let me feel a lot. He was gone, but I really want to give him the sea. That is the most important reason that I choose this title. But actually, at final, how he was indeed, or who he was is not a important question any more. I think no people dare or have the power to answer the question, so this work is for myself, maybe.
