The final decision for the application from Young Choreographer Project, 2008

Since 2005, Young Choreographer Project has been going to the third edition in 2008. In this year, there were 34 purposes arrived.

1, about where come from:
18 from Beijing, 5 from Guangzhou, 4 from Shanghai, there one is coming respectively from other 7 cities, Nanjing, Jinan, Chongqing, Yinchuan, Hangzhou, Anshan and Xi’an.

2, background of applicators
24 projects are fist time to applying, 2 are second time, 8 applicators have been “enter” before last two years.
As you know all 8 applicators had been “enter”, other 26 applicators, they are from Guangdong Modern Dance Company, independent dancers from Beijing, Guangzhou, students from Beijing Dance Academy, Shanghai Dance Academy, or other universities.

For basic idea of three jury, we were more focus on the purposes of “first time”, so we chose 8 projects who are:
1, Wang Limei / Bao Zhenyan, female, independent dancers, from Hangzhou
2, Tao Ye, male, independent dancer, from Beijing
3, Zhao Jianrui, male, choreographer of Dance theater in Yinchuan
4, Liu Ning, male, independent choreographer, Beijing,
5, Luo Yuebing, female, independent choreographer, Guangzhou
6, Lu Yahui, female, dancer of Guangzhou Modern Dance Company
7, Yang Jing, female, student of Shanghai Dance Academy
8, Liu Jiajia, female, student of Beijing Dance Academy
