GambleAware, an independent charity whose aim is to keep people safe from gambling dangers, administers, and funds BeGambleAware.
BeGambleAware is an organisation that provides information to assist players in making better gaming decisions. The agency aids gamers in learning more about what safer gambling entails, as well as understanding and recognising the risks of gambling and directing them to where they can get additional information, assistance, and support if needed.
GambleAware is a grant-making, independent charity that commissions prevention and treatment services in England, Scotland, and Wales in collaboration with specialist organizations and authorities, including the NHS, in three areas:
- Creating the National Gambling Treatment Service (NGTS).
- Creating national public health initiatives and offering practical assistance to local services.
- Commissioning research and assessment to improve our understanding of preventative strategies.
GambleAware is wholly independent and has a framework agreement with the Gambling Commission to deliver the National Strategy to Reduce Gambling Harms within the context of arrangements based on voluntary donations from the gambling industry. It is regulated by the Charity Commission for England and Wales and the Scottish Charity Regulator.
